Welcome to Didcot Dynamos FC 5 Vs 5 Tournament 26th October 2024.
Thank you all for signing up for our very popular (half term) tournament. We look forward to welcoming you all and look forward in seeing some great football being played in the right spirit as always. This year looks like its going to be our biggest tournament yet!
Entry is £5 per car paid by cash or card upon arrival.
Please note there is no dogs allowed onsite as they are school fields.
U7's Registration by 8:30 am at the control Desk. Kick off prompt 8:45am. Car park opens from 8am.
U8's Registrations by 11:30 AM at the control Desk. Kick off prompt 11:45 Car park opens from 11:00am.
Quick Managers briefing 8:35am & 11:35 PM at the control desk to run through rules and answer any questions if any.
Please note: Any abuse or shouting at the referees will not be tolerated whatsoever! You will be kindly asked to leave the tournament immediately and reported to The FA. The referees decision is final!
Please ask parents to encourage everyone.
The format is 5 Vs 5 [The 5 will include a Goalkeeper.[Squad of 9 max]
Pitches for this tournament will be marked up in Blue.
Normal Mini soccer Rules apply, pass back rules apply. The only change will be no fly kicking from GK. They can throw out or kick from the floor.
Games will start and end on the Klaxon from the control Desk.
3 points for a win,2 points for a score draw.1 point for a no score draw.0 points for a loss.
Groups will be decided on points firstly. If still level, then >Goal difference>goals For>least goals conceded>head to head>Number of matches without goals conceded (clean sheet/shutout).
We have a BBQ and tuck shop running on the day.
Competition format:
There will be a Cup/Plate in U7's Cup/Plate and Conference Cup in U8's
First round will be a group format of 5-6 games. 8 mins per game.
As there is 21 teams in U8's the two last placed teams from all three groups will go into a playoff to see who will progress into the Conference Cup Semi-final.
All other teams will then get placed into a competition dependant on where they finished in their group. This will then become a knockout cup.
In the event of a draw at the end of normal time. 3 penalties will be taken. Goalkeepers must stay the same as finished the game.
Only players who finished the game may take a penalty. If still drawn at the the end of the 3 penalties. sudden death will be played until we find a winner.

The football Pitches are located at Willowcroft Community School, Mereland Road, Didcot OX118BA
Parking for U7's 8am onwards @ Willowcroft School.
Parking for U8's 11:00 onwards @ St Birinus School (next Door) if needed will overflow to Willowcroft school as most the U7's will have left site by 11am.
